Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the vanilla extract and large eggs to the sugar mixture until well combined.
- Gradually blend the dry mixture into the wet mixture, stirring just until incorporated.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Roll the dough into small football shapes and place on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack.
- Decorate with royal icing to resemble a football.
