Description
Delicious homemade egg noodles that are easy to make and perfect for any dish.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup water (as needed)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt thoroughly to ensure even distribution of flavors.
- Create a well in the center of the flour mixture and crack in the eggs. Using a fork, gradually mix the flour into the eggs, starting from the inner edge of the well.
- Once the mixture starts forming a dough, begin kneading it with your hands. If the dough is too dry, incorporate water little by little until a smooth, elastic texture is achieved. Knead for about 5–7 minutes.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness, typically about 1/8 inch. Cut the rolled dough into your preferred noodle shapes.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Carefully drop the cut noodles into the boiling water and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until they float and are firm yet tender.
- Drain the noodles and serve them hot with your favorite sauce or dish.
Notes
Use fresh eggs for the best flavor. Don’t rush the kneading process for a smoother texture.
