- 1 package of active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 1/2 cup milk, warmed
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 3 to 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, melted butter, salt, and eggs. Mix in the yeast mixture.
- Gradually add flour one cup at a time until a soft dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
- Spread maple syrup over the dough, then sprinkle with cinnamon, brown sugar, and pecans.
- Roll the dough from one long side and cut into rolls. Place in a greased baking dish.
- Let the rolls rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
Serve warm with butter. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze for longer storage.
