Description
Deliciously sweet caramel apple oat bars that are perfect for a lunchbox or dessert.
Ingredients

- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups diced apples
- 1 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix together the oats, brown sugar, all-purpose flour, ground cinnamon, and salt.
- Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
- Press half of this mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form a crust.
- Spread the diced apples over the crust and drizzle them with caramel sauce.
- Crumble the remaining oat mixture on top of the apples.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the bars turn golden brown.
- Allow the bars to cool before cutting them into squares and serving.
Notes
These bars can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature. They pair well with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
