- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- A pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mash the ripe bananas in a bowl until smooth and stir in the melted butter.
- Mix in the baking soda and salt, then add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until combined.
- Gradually mix in the flour until just combined; do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Use overripe bananas for better sweetness. Avoid overmixing to keep the bread tender.
