- 200g dark chocolate
- 200g milk chocolate
- 250ml heavy cream
- 100g unsalted butter
- 4 large eggs
- 150g granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 100g all-purpose flour
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
- Melt the dark and milk chocolate with unsalted butter over low heat, stirring until smooth.
- Whisk eggs, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until pale and thick.
- Gradually combine the melted chocolate with the egg mixture, then sift in the flour and mix gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan before removing.
- For the truffle filling, heat heavy cream until boiling, then pour over remaining chocolate and stir until smooth. Chill until thickened.
- Once the cake is cool, slice it in half and spread the truffle filling between layers and on top.
- Dust the top with cocoa powder before serving.
