A rich and decadent Easter Chocolate Truffle Cake combining dark and milk chocolate with a creamy truffle filling, perfect for festive occasions.


Ingredients

  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 200g milk chocolate
  • 250ml heavy cream
  • 100g unsalted butter
  • 4 large eggs
  • 150g granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100g all-purpose flour
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
  2. Melt the dark and milk chocolate with unsalted butter over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  3. Whisk eggs, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until pale and thick.
  4. Gradually combine the melted chocolate with the egg mixture, then sift in the flour and mix gently.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan before removing.
  7. For the truffle filling, heat heavy cream until boiling, then pour over remaining chocolate and stir until smooth. Chill until thickened.
  8. Once the cake is cool, slice it in half and spread the truffle filling between layers and on top.
  9. Dust the top with cocoa powder before serving.
