Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add into the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are firm and centers are soft.
  8. Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider using bittersweet chocolate chips. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
