Description

A rich and hearty chili packed with a savory blend of beans, spices, and ground beef, perfect for comfort food.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and chopped bell pepper, and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the ground beef to the pot, cooking and crumbling until browned and no longer pink, about 7-10 minutes.
  3. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper, mixing well. Pour in the diced tomatoes with their juices and add the kidney and black beans. Stir to combine and bring to a gentle boil.
  4. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let the chili simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

Serve with warm cornbread or over rice. Garnish with cilantro, lime, or cheese, and enjoy with tortilla chips.
