- 2 lbs chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 pita breads
- 1 cup tzatziki sauce
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Marinate the chicken breasts in the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
- Place the marinated chicken in the crockpot and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 4 hours.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the crockpot and shred it using two forks.
- Warm the pita breads in the oven or skillet until slightly crispy.
- Fill each pita with shredded chicken, tzatziki sauce, cucumber, tomato, and onion.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
