  • 2 lbs chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 pita breads
  • 1 cup tzatziki sauce
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. Marinate the chicken breasts in the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Place the marinated chicken in the crockpot and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 4 hours.
  4. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the crockpot and shred it using two forks.
  5. Warm the pita breads in the oven or skillet until slightly crispy.
  6. Fill each pita with shredded chicken, tzatziki sauce, cucumber, tomato, and onion.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
