- 2–3 lbs beef chuck roast
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup water
- French rolls or hoagie buns
- Sliced provolone or Swiss cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place the beef chuck roast in the slow cooker.
- Sprinkle the onion soup mix evenly over the roast.
- Add the beef broth and water, then season with salt and pepper. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours, until the beef is fork-tender.
- Once the beef is tender, shred it using two forks and return it to the slow cooker, mixing well with the juices. Serve on French rolls or hoagie buns, topped with cheese.
Notes
Leftover sandwiches can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat the beef and serve it on fresh rolls for best flavor.
