Description

A warm and hearty dish featuring tender chicken, flavorful mushrooms, and a rich creamy sauce, all prepared effortlessly in a crockpot.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, chopped onion, beef broth, sliced mushrooms, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken in the crockpot. Cover and set to cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Stir in the sour cream into the chicken mixture before serving. Serve over the hot egg noodles and garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, sauté onions and mushrooms before adding to the crockpot. Adjust seasonings to taste; consider adding Worcestershire sauce for umami.
