Ingredients

- 1 lb beef flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 cup water
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, minced garlic, minced ginger, sesame oil, and water until well combined.
- Place the sliced beef in the crockpot and pour the sauce mixture over it. Stir gently to coat the beef evenly.
- Cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours, until the beef is tender.
- Add the broccoli to the crockpot during the last 30 minutes of cooking. Serve over cooked rice.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, increase the amount of cornstarch or add it at the end of cooking. Use low-sodium soy sauce for a reduced sodium content.
