Description

A delightful dish combining tender strips of beef with vibrant broccoli in a savory sauce, all prepared effortlessly in a slow cooker.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, minced garlic, minced ginger, sesame oil, and water until well combined.
  2. Place the sliced beef in the crockpot and pour the sauce mixture over it. Stir gently to coat the beef evenly.
  3. Cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours, until the beef is tender.
  4. Add the broccoli to the crockpot during the last 30 minutes of cooking. Serve over cooked rice.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, increase the amount of cornstarch or add it at the end of cooking. Use low-sodium soy sauce for a reduced sodium content.
