- 4 boneless chicken thighs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 sandwich buns
- Lettuce
- Tomato slices
- Mayonnaise
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken thighs in buttermilk and hot sauce for at least 1 hour.
- Mix the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Dredge each marinated chicken thigh in the flour mixture and fry until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes per side.
- Toast the sandwich buns and assemble the sandwiches with fried chicken, lettuce, tomato slices, and mayonnaise. Serve hot.
Notes
For extra crunch, double-dip the chicken in the flour mixture before frying.
