- 4 large potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg (beaten)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for baking (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Peel and cut the potatoes into sticks about the thickness of a finger.
- Boil the potato sticks in salted water for about 5 minutes until slightly tender. Drain well and allow them to cool completely.
- Combine the shredded cheese with salt and pepper in a bowl.
- Wrap a potato stick around a small amount of cheese mixture, then dip into flour, beaten egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.
- Place the coated sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Lightly drizzle oil over them if desired. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until crispy and golden brown.
- Serve hot and enjoy your tasty treat!
Notes
Best served with marinara, ranch, or spicy dipping sauces. Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
