Description

Irresistible crispy potato cheese sticks that are a hit with both kids and adults, perfect as a snack or appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for baking (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Peel and cut the potatoes into sticks about the thickness of a finger.
  2. Boil the potato sticks in salted water for about 5 minutes until slightly tender. Drain well and allow them to cool completely.
  3. Combine the shredded cheese with salt and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Wrap a potato stick around a small amount of cheese mixture, then dip into flour, beaten egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Place the coated sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Lightly drizzle oil over them if desired. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until crispy and golden brown.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy your tasty treat!

Notes

Best served with marinara, ranch, or spicy dipping sauces. Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
