Description
Delicious chicken strips coated in a crispy layer and tossed in a sweet honey butter garlic sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken strips
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the flour, salt, black pepper, and paprika. In another bowl, beat the eggs until well mixed. Place the breadcrumbs in a third bowl for coating.
- Dredge each chicken strip in the flour mixture to coat, then dip them into the beaten eggs, and finally coat them with breadcrumbs, ensuring thorough coverage.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Carefully add the chicken strips to the hot oil, frying until golden brown and cooked through, which should take about 5-7 minutes.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, then stir in the honey until well combined. Toss the fried strips in the honey butter garlic sauce before serving.
Notes
For extra crunch, consider using panko breadcrumbs instead of regular breadcrumbs. Let the coated chicken strips rest for a few minutes before frying for better adherence.
