Description

Enjoy crispy, crunchy fish sticks made with tender white fish fillets. Perfect for a weeknight dinner or as a fun party appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound white fish fillets (e.g., cod or haddock)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Cooking oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the fish fillets into finger-sized sticks.
  2. In one bowl, mix the flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
  3. Dredge each fish stick in the flour mixture, dip in the beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat cooking oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the fish sticks for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  5. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Make sure your oil is hot before frying for a crispy texture. Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
