Description
Enjoy delicious crispy French fries made effortlessly in an air fryer, providing a healthier alternative to traditional frying.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large russet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Begin by peeling the potatoes and cutting them into thin strips. Place the strips in a bowl of cold water for about 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- After soaking, drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a towel.
- In a large bowl, toss the potato strips with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until they are evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the potato strips in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Serve the fries immediately while they’re hot and crispy.
Notes
For extra flavor, experiment with different spices or herbs such as parmesan cheese or fresh rosemary. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
