- 1 pizza crust
- 1 pound sausage
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- Optional toppings: green onions, additional spices
Instructions
- Preheat the oven according to the instructions for your pizza crust, usually to around 425°F (220°C).
- Cook the sausage over medium heat in a skillet until browned and fully cooked.
- Whisk together the flour and drippings from the cooked sausage in another pot to create a roux.
- Add milk gradually while whisking continuously until thickened, season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Scramble the eggs in a separate pan until fluffy and set aside.
- Roll out the pizza crust and lay it flat on a baking sheet, then spread the sausage gravy evenly over it.
- Top the gravy with scrambled eggs and sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven according to the crust instructions, about 12-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven, optionally garnish with sliced green onions or additional spices.
Notes
Serve hot and consider adding hot sauce for extra flavor. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
