Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until soft and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Stir in the orzo pasta and cook for 1-2 minutes to enhance the flavor.
  3. Pour the chicken broth into the pot, bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for about 10 minutes until the orzo is tender.
  4. Stir in the shredded chicken, heavy cream, and grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
