Description
A heartwarming dish that pairs the tangy taste of balsamic vinegar with a rich creamy sauce, creating a comforting and flavorful meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet, cooking for about 6-7 minutes on each side until they are cooked through and golden brown. Once done, remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the balsamic vinegar and bring it to a simmer, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Reduce the heat, then stir in the heavy cream, letting the sauce thicken slightly.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, allowing it to coat in the creamy balsamic sauce.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh basil.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm gently in a skillet or microwave, adding a splash of cream if needed.
