A heartwarming dish that pairs the tangy taste of balsamic vinegar with a rich creamy sauce, creating a comforting and flavorful meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet, cooking for about 6-7 minutes on each side until they are cooked through and golden brown. Once done, remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the balsamic vinegar and bring it to a simmer, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  5. Reduce the heat, then stir in the heavy cream, letting the sauce thicken slightly.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet, allowing it to coat in the creamy balsamic sauce.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh basil.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm gently in a skillet or microwave, adding a splash of cream if needed.
