Cranberry Orange Cheesecake is a delightful fusion of creamy cheesecake and the tangy essence of cranberries, accented by bright orange zest, perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1/2 cup fresh cranberries
- 1/4 cup cranberry sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/4 cup of sugar; mix until blended and press firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar until smooth; add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla extract and orange zest.
- Gently fold in the fresh cranberries; pour the filling over the prepared crust.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes or until the center is set and slightly jiggly; the edges should be firm.
- Once baked, let it cool, then spread the cranberry sauce on top. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours (overnight is best) before serving.
Notes
Chill overnight for optimal flavor and texture. You can substitute half of the graham cracker crumbs with finely crushed nuts for an added crunch.
