- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- Mix together the flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, softened butter, vanilla, and salt until well combined.
- Press the cookie dough mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
- Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth, then add sugar and vanilla and mix well. Add the eggs one at a time.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cookie dough layer in the baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until edges are set and center is slightly jiggly.
- Let the bars cool completely in the pan, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Notes
These bars can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator. For a flavor twist, add a pinch of cinnamon or mini chocolate chips.
