- 1 cup buttermilk

Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter. Stir until well blended.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined; do not overmix.
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat and grease lightly. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake and cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown.
- Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
Notes
Ensure you use fresh baking powder and baking soda for the best rise. Don’t overmix the batter; some lumps are fine.
