- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup sugar (for the swirl)
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and melted butter until well blended.
- Add sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, mixing well. Sprinkle in baking soda and salt, then gradually mix in flour.
- In a small bowl, mix together 1/3 cup sugar with ground cinnamon. Pour half of the batter into the pan, sprinkle with half of the cinnamon sugar, add remaining batter, and top with the rest of the cinnamon sugar. Swirl with a knife.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. Best enjoyed with butter, cream cheese, or honey.
