Description

A delightful blend of fluffy cake and crunchy cinnamon streusel, perfect with coffee or tea.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (for streusel)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt; whisk until even.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla; stir into dry ingredients until just combined.
  4. In a small bowl, mix cinnamon, brown sugar, and nuts for the streusel topping.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the pan, sprinkle with half of the streusel, add remaining batter, and top with remaining streusel.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar or drizzled with a glaze.
