- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the chopped pecans and maple syrup.
- Spread the batter evenly onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool slightly.
- Roll the cake tightly into a log using the parchment paper and let it cool completely.
- Once cool, slice the roulade and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Serve fresh with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Store leftover roulades in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for up to a month.
