Description

A delightful dessert combining the flavors of cinnamon, maple, and crunchy pecans, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Stir in the chopped pecans and maple syrup.
  6. Spread the batter evenly onto the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool slightly.
  9. Roll the cake tightly into a log using the parchment paper and let it cool completely.
  10. Once cool, slice the roulade and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Serve fresh with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Store leftover roulades in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for up to a month.
