- 40 Saltine crackers
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange the Saltine crackers in a single layer.
- Melt the unsalted butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat; stir until combined. Boil gently for 3 minutes, then remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the toffee mixture over the crackers and bake for 5-7 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee, let sit for 1 minute, then spread melted chocolate and sprinkle with salt and cinnamon sugar. Cool completely before breaking into pieces.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, or refrigerate for longer freshness. They can be frozen for up to 3 months.
