- Saltine crackers
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring until it comes to a boil. Let it boil for 3 minutes without stirring.
- Pour the hot caramel mixture evenly over the saltine crackers.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes until the toffee is bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee. Let them melt and spread evenly.
- Mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon in a bowl, then sprinkle it over the melted chocolate.
- Allow to cool completely before breaking into bite-sized pieces.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Refrigerate for longer shelf life, but best enjoyed fresh.
