Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (for filling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Sift in the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt; mix until just combined. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Roll the dough into small balls (about 1 inch) and place on prepared baking sheet. Press your thumb into the center of each cookie.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, then press chocolate chips into the center immediately after removing from oven. Allow to cool before serving.
