Description

A quick and easy homemade chocolate pudding that’s creamy, rich, and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt until fully combined.
  2. Gradually add the milk to the dry ingredients while whisking constantly until the mixture is smooth and homogeneous.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and continue stirring until the pudding thickens and just starts to bubble (about 5-10 minutes).
  4. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract and butter until creamy. Pour into serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Serve chilled and consider topping with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or fresh berries. Store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
