- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil

- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate frosting
- Jar containers for layering
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the wet ingredients: vegetable oil, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir until the mixture is smooth. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Once cooled, crumble the cakes and layer the crumbs and chocolate frosting alternately in jar containers. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
