- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a doughnut pan.
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract until smooth and frothy.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just mixed.
- Pour the batter into the greased doughnut pan and bake for about 10-12 minutes.
- Allow the doughnuts to cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- In a medium bowl, combine the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla extract to make the glaze.
- Dip the tops of the cooled doughnuts into the chocolate glaze and let excess drip off.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. Freeze unglazed doughnuts for up to one month.
