Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Chop the chocolate into small pieces and place it in a heatproof bowl.
  2. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
  3. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let it sit for a few minutes.
  4. Stir the mixture until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Add butter if desired.
  5. Allow the ganache to cool before using it as a glaze, filling, or frosting.

Notes
