A delightful treat that combines the classic flavors of chocolate and strawberries into a chewy, decadent cookie.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup chopped strawberries
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy. Add vanilla extract and egg; mix until well incorporated.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, then fold in chopped strawberries and chocolate chips.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto the lined baking sheet, spacing them out to allow for spreading. Bake for 10-12 minutes until set.
  6. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze wrapped cookies for up to 3 months.
