Description

Chocolate Chip Cruffins are a delightful fusion of muffins and croissants, filled with gooey chocolate and topped with flaky sea salt. Perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup flaky sea salt (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. Combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Whisk together the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract in another bowl.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently; fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Roll out crescent dough into thin layers and cut into triangles; shape into cruffins.
  6. Fill each muffin cup with the cruffin dough, leaving space for rising.
  7. Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top of each cruffin before baking.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack or serve warm.

Notes
