Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Combine the buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full with the batter.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean and the tops are golden brown.
  7. Let the cruffins cool slightly before transferring them to a wire rack.
