- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each one is fully incorporated.
- Combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually blend this dry mixture into the wet ingredients.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Drop tablespoon-sized pieces of cookie dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, leaving space between each scoop.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheets for 2 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For chewier cookies, refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Store in an airtight container for up to one week, or freeze for up to three months.
