Description
Buchi (Sesame Balls) are delightful, chewy treats made from glutinous rice flour, traditionally filled with sweet red bean or mung bean paste and coated in crunchy sesame seeds.
Ingredients

- 1 cup glutinous rice flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup red bean paste or mung bean paste (for filling)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine glutinous rice flour, water, and sugar. Stir until a smooth dough forms.
- Divide the dough into small pieces, about the size of a golf ball, and flatten slightly.
- Place a teaspoon of filling in the center of each flattened piece and seal the dough around it.
- Roll the balls in sesame seeds until fully coated.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry the balls for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Best enjoyed warm.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a day or in the refrigerator for three days. Reheat in a toaster oven for best results.
