Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix brown sugar and melted butter until smooth.
- Stir in the egg, molasses, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
