- 6 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 4 cups bread cubes
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Layer the bread cubes in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, then spread the cooked sausage and shredded cheese over the bread cubes.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layers.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until set in the center and golden on top.
- Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Can be made ahead and refrigerated overnight. Customize with different vegetables or cheeses as desired.
