Description

A delicious blend of eggs, sausage, cheese, and bread, this Breakfast Casserole is perfect for busy mornings and satisfying brunches.


Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 4 cups bread cubes
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Layer the bread cubes in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, then spread the cooked sausage and shredded cheese over the bread cubes.
  5. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layers.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes until set in the center and golden on top.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Can be made ahead and refrigerated overnight. Customize with different vegetables or cheeses as desired.
