Description

A delightful homemade ice cream that perfectly blends the sweet flavor of blackberries with floral notes of lavender, made easy with the Ninja Creami.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Whole Milk (or 2% milk)
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar (plus more to taste for blackberries)
  • 1 tbsp Culinary Dried Lavender
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • Pinch Salt
  • 1 cup Blackberries (fresh or frozen, thawed)
  • 12 tbsp Granulated Sugar (or to taste, optional)
  • 1/2 tsp Lemon Juice (optional, for brightness)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Lavender Cream Base by heating the whole milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, dried lavender, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt in a saucepan until warm.
  2. Mix the Blackberry Puree by blending blackberries, sugar, and lemon juice until smooth.
  3. Combine the lavender cream base with the blackberry puree and freeze for at least 24 hours.
  4. Process the mixture in the Ninja Creami and serve immediately or return to freezer for a firmer texture.

Notes

Store leftover ice cream in an airtight container in the freezer for up to two weeks. Allow to sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping.
