Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a sheet cake pan.
- Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Frost with your favorite frosting and add sprinkles if desired.
