Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, egg, 2 tbsp ketchup, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a greased baking dish.
- Spread 1/2 cup of ketchup on top of the meatloaf for added flavor.
- Bake for 1 hour or until the meatloaf is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve warm.
Notes
Let the meatloaf rest after baking to allow the juices to redistribute for easier slicing. Use lean ground beef for a healthier option, but avoid going too lean to keep it moist.
