- 4 ripe pears, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare your pears by peeling and slicing them.
- In a large bowl, mix the sliced pears with half of the brown sugar and a pinch of cinnamon. Place the fruits in a baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine rolled oats, the remaining brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt. Stir in melted butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the oat mixture over the prepared pears. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and crisp. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For best flavor and texture, use ripe pears. Consider adding chopped nuts for extra crunch.
