Description
Soft, fluffy cinnamon rolls filled with a sweet brown sugar and cinnamon mixture, topped with a decadent cream cheese frosting.

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup melted butter (for filling)
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
- 2 tablespoons milk (for frosting)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. In a saucepan, heat the milk and butter until warm but not boiling. Pour this mixture into the flour mixture along with the eggs, mixing until smooth. Gradually add the remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes elastic and smooth. Shape it into a ball, place it in a greased bowl, and cover it with a clean towel. Let it rise in a warm place until it has doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangular shape. Spread the melted butter evenly across the dough, and then sprinkle the brown sugar and ground cinnamon over the top. Carefully roll up the dough tightly starting from the longer edge, and cut it into 12 even rolls.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, spaced evenly. Cover them and let them rise again until they double in size, around 30 minutes. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
- For the frosting, mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle the frosting over the warm rolls right after they come out of the oven.
Notes
Use fresh yeast and room temperature ingredients for best results. Allow proper rising time for soft rolls.
