Description
A classic comfort food dish featuring tender beef and mushrooms in a rich and creamy sauce, served over egg noodles.
Ingredients

							Scale

			- 1 lb beef sirloin, cut into thin strips
 - 1 onion, chopped
 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
 - 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
 - 2 cups beef broth
 - 1 cup sour cream
 - 2 tbsp flour
 - 2 tbsp butter
 - Salt and pepper to taste
 - Egg noodles, for serving

Instructions
- Begin by melting the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until soft and translucent.
 - Add the beef strips to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides.
 - Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook until tender and moisture is released.
 - Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and mix well. Gradually pour in the beef broth while stirring to avoid lumps. Allow to simmer and thicken for about 5-7 minutes.
 - Remove from heat and stir in the sour cream until fully integrated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
 - Serve the beef stroganoff hot over cooked egg noodles, coating the noodles with the creamy sauce.

Notes
For tender beef, slice against the grain. Add a splash of red wine for deeper flavor, and consider substituting Greek yogurt for sour cream for a lighter version.
