Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • Extra vanilla extract for frosting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the mashed bananas with the melted butter, then add sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  3. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the banana mixture until just combined.
  5. Roll the dough onto a floured surface into a rectangle and sprinkle cinnamon over it.
  6. Carefully roll the dough into a log and cut into 8 equal rolls.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Prepare the frosting by mixing cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  9. Spread the frosting over the warm rolls and serve.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for maximum sweetness. If the frosting is too thick, add a splash of milk.
