Description

A simple yet robust dish of grilled chicken marinated in a tangy balsamic and basil blend, perfect for summer evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, chopped basil, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it is nicely coated. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting excess drip off, then grill for 6-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  6. Slice the chicken against the grain and serve it warm.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate the chicken closer to 4 hours or overnight. Use different herbs or vinegars for variations.
