- 8 oz mozzarella cheese sticks
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- Cooking spray
- Marinara sauce for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut the mozzarella sticks in half for shorter sticks. Set up a breading station: flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs mixed with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a third bowl.
- Dredge each stick in the flour, dip in the eggs, and coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spray lightly with cooking spray.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
For best results, freeze the mozzarella sticks for 30 minutes before baking to prevent the cheese from melting too quickly. You can also experiment with different cheeses for added flavor.
