Description

Delicious and healthy Baked Broccoli Cheese Balls, perfect for a snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Begin by steaming the broccoli florets until they are bright green and just tender, which usually takes about 3-4 minutes. Once steamed, chop the broccoli finely to ensure even mixing.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, shredded cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined and a cohesive mixture forms.
  3. Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place each ball on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  4. Lightly spray the tops of the broccoli balls with olive oil spray to encourage crisping. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until they become golden brown and crispy.
  5. Once baked, serve the Baked Broccoli Cheese Balls warm as a delightful snack or a side dish.
